First Communion

Blessed SacramentSacaramental preparation for the Eucharist is a two year commitment.  This process usually begins with first and second grade students commiting to class attendance, Saint Fair, Retreat, Penance and Interview.

The students will receive their First Communion at the end of their second year. Children and parents are required to participate in the practice session scheduled for their First Communion. Copies of the child’s Baptismal certificate are required.

Sponsors are NOT required for First Holy Communion. Girls are asked to wear white dresses with sleeves. Veils are optional. Boys should wear a black suit, or black dress pants (no jeans) and a white dress shirt (no polo-style shirt). Proper attire is addressed in greater detail at the parent meetings. See class calendar for dates.
